Sergio Casci is a Bafta-nominated screenwriter best-known for his supernatural thriller, The Caller, starring Stephen Moyer (True Blood) and Rachelle Lefevre (Twilight). His first feature film, American Cousins, won more than a dozen international awards and two Scottish Baftas.

Sergio was brought up in Glasgow and studied psychology at Edinburgh University before becoming a journalist, initially on newspapers and latterly with the BBC. His first screenplay, Dead Sea Reels, won Best European Short at the Vendome Film Festival. He has also written extensively for television, including episodes of River City, Sea of Souls, Two Thousand Acres of Sky, Rough Diamond and Personal Affairs.

He is married to the best-selling Australian novelist Helen FitzGerald and has two children.
